GATE 2020 Guidelines for Scribe

For GATE, candidate can get their own scribe or request GATE authorities to arrange for one.
If candidates arrange their own scribe:
  • Then the qualification of scribe should be one step below the minimum education qualification for GATE.
  • If a candidate opted to get their own scribe but did not then at the last moment authorities will not be able to arrange one.
  • No honorarium is paid to scribe in this case.
If GATE authority arranges for a scribe:
  • The qualification of the scribe shall be more than the minimum eligibility of GATE, it will be matriculation or above.
  • The authority shall allow candidates to choose a scribe, amount the available lot.
